Former boss of Film Four Distributors, during which time he released films such as 'The Madness of King George', 'Secrets and Lies' 'Brassed Off' and 'Fever Pitch', Mick Southworth established Winchester Film Distribution in 2001. Under the successive ownerships of Winchester, Cobalt and ContentFilm, Mick as CEO UK Distribution delivered a succession of successful films such as 'My Summer of Love', 'Lantana', 'The Man Who Sued God', and 'Open Range'

Laurence Gornall, Director of Marketing

Laurence is Director of Marketing at The Works UK Distribution Ltd. Prior to joining the Works Media Group Laurence was Head of Marketing at Content Film Plc. In 2004 New York based Content Film merged with Winchester Entertainment where Laurence was Marketing Director. Previously Laurence was Managing Director of Feature Film Company Ltd where he worked from 1995 until it was acquired by Winchester Entertainment in 2001. Laurence started his career in the film industry in 1991 at Working Title Films and subsequently worked for Manifesto Film Sales, PolyGram Film Entertainment and Oasis Cinemas.

Lucy Fleet, Head of Press

Prior to joining The Works UK Distribution Lucy Fleet was Head of Press at Content Film UK Distribution (formally Winchester Film Distribution Ltd) where, since joining the company in January 2002, she has handled publicity on projects including 'Baise Moi', 'Lantana', 'Open Range', 'My Summer of Love', 'Shortbus' and 'The Upside of Anger'.

Ailsa started her career as a Distribution Assistant at Content Film UK Distribution Ltd in early 2005, before joining The Works UK Distribution in July 2005. Among her other duties, Ailsa is the main contact for regional press.

Damian Spandley, Head of Sales

Having started his career with Mainline Pictures, Damian worked for City Screen Limited and Picturehouse Cinemas between 2002 and 2007 as a senior film programmer. Damian joined The Works UK Distribution as Head of Sales in September 2007

John Bullen, Sales and Distribution Assistant

Before joining The Works UK in October 2007, John gained experience as a Production Assistant with a variety of TV companies, including Zig Zag Productions, and as a cinema manager with Screen Cinemas.
