Carl Clifton , Managing Director of Works International

CARL CLIFTON - MANAGING DIRECTOR, THE WORKS INTERNATIONAL Carl Clifton, formerly C.O.O and Head of Sales at Handmade Films International is as an Executive Director of The Works Media Group Plc and Managing Director of subsidiary The Works International. Prior to Handmade Clifton was Senior Vice President of International Sales at Polygram then Universal and enjoyed a stint running FilmFour’s International division as well as a spell in independent production where credits include the successful Patrice Leconte French co-production “The Man on the Train”. In his 18 years in the industry Clifton has handled a huge range of enormously successful films from the Oscar-winning documentary “When We Were Kings” to the forthcoming $60m plus animation “Planet 51”. Other films include “4 Weddings and a Funeral”, “Notting Hill”, “Fargo”, “The Green Mile”,” Elizabeth”, “Bean” and “Sexy Beast”.

Andy Ordonez , Head of Business Affairs

Andy Ordonez has worked in the film industry for over 25 years - the last ten in Business Affairs with - NDF International - a Japanese equity/tax film production funding organization; Arts Council/UK Film Council - Lottery funding of UK film productions; and Civilian Content now The Works Media Group - feature production, production equity funding, international sales representation and UK film distribution.

Clare is currently Sales Manager for The Works International. Having started her career at J&M Entertainment Clare joined The Sales Co., which later became The Works, in April 1999.

Juliette joined The Works International in 2001. Previously, she worked at Capitol Films as Head of Marketing, and Alibi Films and HandMade Films as Sales and Marketing Executive.

Brian Shingles, Head of Technical Services

Brian started in the industry at Paramount Pictures/CIC and has subsequently worked at MCA-Television, HandMade Films, Artificial Eye, Vine International Pictures and the last five years as Head Of Technical Services at The Works International.

Beatrice Neumann, Acquisitions Manager

Having started out as a runner at Winchester Entertainment Beatrice worked as acquisitions manager and production executive at ContentFilm International for several years before joining The Works as acquisitions manager in November 2008.

Andrea Scarso, Sales and Distribution

Andrea joined The Works International in August 2009. He recently re-located from his native Italy where he was working in Acquisitions at a theatrical distribution company.
